Nah. You were just asking how to be certain it was correct, so I
told you.
I suppose another way to test the binary itself would be to build
the regtests, which is something like "make test" or "make
test-baseline", but I don't touch that side of things, so I'm not
entirely certain.

It happens whenever you want to build the docs. If you want to
see updated docs with a new binary... say, if the spacing code has
changed... then yes. If you only want to see doc-examples that
have changed, then it's only 5 minutes or so.

Technically you should compile the docs after editing that file,
but I'm (relatively) sure you can make a correct patch for that
problem without needing to test it. Make a patch, and I'll let
you know.
