Re: [hatari-devel] Next Hatari version for OS X

Hi Bob,

Thanks for testing. I cannot replicate the slow UI with TOS 4.04 and the Falcon-version here though. Other Mac users please test as well.

(Am I missing something or is it up to the Hatari user to manually select 68030, 16MHz, DSP etc after having selected Falcon as system?)

Troed,

I briefly tried both Hatari versions. I found the video on the Hatari Falcon version incredibly slow when using TOS 4.04. I assume it has something to do with SDL 1.x and OS X. I tried it in a window and full screen and it was too slow to be usable either way. However, if I used TOS 1.04 with the Hatari Falcon executable, it ran at a normal speed.

I did not spend much time trying to debug it since I do not run Falcon software on Hatari so the old UAE core is still better for me.

The executables looked good to me. I did not see a problem in my limited use and they acted like the versions I have taken from Mercurial.

Linked is a .dmg that is built exactly as if I had made a proper release just now (that is, both Hatari.app and Hatari_Falcon.app are included etc). I pulled the latest sources for the build, followed the build instructions I've posted before and I've also verified that TT ram etc show up in the settings dialog. Other Mac users on the list please test this .dmg to see if it's what you expect it should be .. :)

Todo: The doc-directory is from 1.8. I do not know which files from the source code repository should be included (last time I just took it from the Windows release). Same applies to readme.txt in the root.

README-libraries.txt is updated with the actual versions I've built with.

Hi

thanks, I updated all the files.

But I see 2 new files :
iconMSAdisk.png
iconSTdisk.png

I can't see where they're refered from. They should be added to the repo ?

They are used in my own build to have icons for .st and .msa files under
Finder, when added to XCode Project. I do not know how to add them to
the cmake build system...

So, right now, it's not useful.

ok, main repo updated.

Bob / Troed or other people using the OSX UI, could you do a pull from the main repo and check everything compiles for you ?

Thanks

Nicolas
