I'm fine with any option, as long as it results in a proper GEMDOS HD
emulation time handling ;-).

As a plain user I feel the same. I don't care for unproper RTC
emulation. If I click RTC emulation, I want the host time used which is
ok as the host simulates whatever the RTC chip gives.

Btw that worked perfectly well in the past for not having out-of-sync
timestamps. Where there changes inbetween to the GEMDOS handling?

No, it's been a long time like that.

What changed, was emulated Atari clock was made accurate within
emulation. When emulated clock followed host clock, just using
fast-forward for a while would obviously throw it off a lot, and
even without that I think it was too inaccurate for some things.

Everything should now work better if the file operations are done
either on host side, or on the Atari side. You get problems only
if you mix them within same Hatari run.

Although I cannot remember which Hatari version that was. Most likely
it was one version pre 1.8.
