As a plain user I feel the same. I don't care for unproper RTC
emulation. If I click RTC emulation, I want the host time used which is
ok as the host simulates whatever the RTC chip gives.

Btw that worked perfectly well in the past for not having out-of-sync
timestamps. Where there changes inbetween to the GEMDOS handling?

Although I cannot remember which Hatari version that was. Most likely
it was one version pre 1.8.
