This is because he CC's to the list, probably. The list default is to
reply only to the original author, so either don't use CC but change
the TO field, or the list settings should be changed, or we should all
remember to use the list-reply function. (Because even in my superior
mail-client if I press the normal reply key it won't guess that I
really want to reply to the list, I need to use list-reply for that.)

IIRC this was done because of the original AD policy that this list
should be for work only, and low-traffic where possible.  The current
setting prevents people from automatically starting long threads on
[AD] without thinking about it. I would suggest a different solution
by now though:

- change the list so the default reply is the list
- revise the posting policy if necessary, and where needed let the
  list-manager be quite strict in kicking certain threads off the list
  if they are not strictly about A4 development.

I think with the introduction of the alleg-bigfive list most
"unwanted" traffic was already removed from the [AD] list, so there
shouldn't really be a problem with changing the settings now.
