you're right. sorry! i still don't think we need additional testing of the
what the assembler supports though. that bloat is not actually needed in the
makefiles. picture this: mmxtest, ssetest, 3dnowtest, whatevertest and BASH
equivalents of each, in every makefile... it's simpler to just list
'software requirements' in the readme. i didn't expect anyone to be so
negative against upgrading.
if there are more people who feel the same way i guess i could reintroduce
the assembler tests. but IF i do that, they will be unified as one makefile
include or two scripts or so...
