Can't we mark 4.0.x as arcane? Everything you can do with it you can do
with 4.2.x, and it also is 100% compatible (well, there may be
adjustements necessary in certain programs doing things like accessing
internals or abusing unspecified behavior, but still). So, I don't see
any reason to maintain it any longer.
