4 hours? :o Sounds like some kind of memory leak, then. What if you make 
a debug build and let it crash in gdb? Also, try a lib that supposed to 
help find memory leaks (don't know what's good for Linux here). If it is 
Allegro related and not dumbogg related, it may be due to the no-asm switch.
