Actually, I did look at FVWM long time ago, and I also think the
config syntax looks weird. But I had a colleague at that time who
built a very nice desktop with FVWM.

Same here, same here... I've always wanted to learn more about lisp.
Long time ago I've actually programmed in scheme a bit, and I do use
emacs, but I never really programmed a lot in (a) lisp. Emacs-lisp en
rep-lisp are lisps, but it seems each has their own set of
pecularities.
