And another thing i just noticed: without MIDI support, the Devices dialog in
the windows version looks like:
This has always been the case. But then again, without Portmidi, there was no MIDI support under Windows, anyway. Thus, this is purely an aesthetic problem.
And another thing: after unpacking the zip, i have to go to a cygwin shell and use "chmod 755 *.dll *.exe", otherwise i get a "Access denied" error. So looks like the *.dll are extracted without execute permission. Any way to avoid that? (this is maybe not hatari specific, i had that same problem already with other archives)
Which ZIP are you referring to, and where do you get an "Access denied" error? When I unzip the Hatari Windows binaries - be it from https://download.tuxfamily.org/hatari/ or from antartica.no - I have no problems running the EXE. Windows does not even have this sort of numeric ("0755") file permissions.
