Especially when display doesn't support the requested mode, and SDL
returns NULL.  Then something just needs to be cut away from borders,
or borders or screen size doubling disabled, regardless of user settings.
Otherwise user saved config could result Hatari asserting on every startup
(until user manually removes hatari config file).

This is the main issue that the current centering code was designed
to handle...
