DSP -> 030: 2 possible writes without CPU doing anything
030 -> DSP: 1 possible write without DSP doing anything

Yes this is exactly what I see. 
 
It's a neat feature, I completely forgot about this one, thanks Doug for refreshing my memory.


Glad my confusion could be of some use. :-P just a pity I needed the profiler to notice it (and I suppose it shows how useful the HW level profiler can be!).
