Yes, but the complexity introduced by
such things was deemed too much. That
would depend on the actual flag, I
guess, and I like being able to tweak
stuff. This allows it without being
intrusive. Oh, and other things like
-save-temps, which can hardly be added
to the configure script, but which can
be bloody useful to spot problems with
cpp.
