Not at all. That's why I put the quotes around 'bug'.

Yes, I previously noticed these 'g' and thought that they were somehow or
other meaningful.

I don't know either. And this makefile has never exhibited any bug on my
system with DJGPP's, Mingw32's or Linux' make.
