You have got a very fast computer/gfx card, because exscn3d is not that fast
on mine ! But it will have to be reworked to make use of a constant speed
then. I also experienced weird artifacts in 8bpp, but only under DOS.

Yes, Allegro is not able to handle that for the time being.
