Hmm, we've got very similar specs (I've got Abit BH6 and Creative
SBLive). I guess maybe it's just my system then. I didn't think it
was a driver bug since everything works fine using 3.9.37.

I wrote a small test program (attached) compiled using:

g++ beostest.cpp -Wall -W `allegro-config --shared`

It crashes inside install_sound() when run in fullscreen mode.
Commenting out that function and everything else works. Not sure what
driver I use for the soundcard. It's been a long time since I
installed the system, and I only use BeOS for compiling my Allegro
projects, so I don't know much about configuring it. Still, sound
works great in windowed mode (and fullscreen using 3.9.37).

Any ideas to what I could try?
(maybe I should've sent this to AL list. Feel free to reply there.)
