Because network is something which really really really is not needed in
lots of games, just take a look at allegro.cc. I understand however that
today the trend is to move towards multiplayer(only) games, but since
networking is really hard to do properly as well, I think it deserves
it's own library with proper documentation, examples, etc.
Also, if you wanted to only use networking in the future, you would be
'forced' to include Allegro as well, no matter how modular the interface
would be, and if it's modular, why melt both libs?
