This is from my own Linux/X list. You asked for it :-)
Serious:
- cannot touch mouse or keyboard when svgalib switching video modes
with VESA driver
- svgalib VT switching is very bad
- GGI driver needs rewrite
Non show stopper:
- X window should not start in top left corner
- X kbd num-lock state doesn't always match state on kbd leds
- Linux keyboard set_rate does nothing
- sched_yield appears to do nothing under Linux
- OSS MIDI has some pitch bend problems, I think
Wishlist:
- BeOS windowed driver
- perhaps separate fullscreen option from XDFS so it can be used by
XWIN. I think this is what SDL does, so you have fullscreen
without required root permissions
I've got a lot of free time now, so I'm going to fix the SVGAlib
bugs and take another crack at the LibGGI driver. I also tested out
my XMap/UnmapWindow suggestion (4th item), so I might clean that up
and send it in some time, depending on whether it works well.
Angelo, how are you with that windowed driver? I remember you said
you wiped BeOS, but did you keep a copy of the driver around? :-)
