[to] solder a PPS signal wire directly to the pin on the i210 IC.

IIRC, the 3 NIC ones have the test points and the 4 NIC ones don't, but don't count on my recollection.

i've soldered to the pin on at least a dozen apus' so far.   it isn't  hard with the right tools.

do i want Pascal to put the SDPx  on a header?   you bet.

Unfortunately the situation has gotten worse: the current models (at
least the APU4) no longer have pads for the SDP pins, so I had to have
a good friend with the right equipment and experience solder a PPS
signal wire directly to the pin on the i210 IC. He did two, one
worked, one didn't, so that still needs to be resolved, definitely not
for the faint of heart :-)

With that said, with the wire in place, and a u-Blox 6-series GPS
receiver in one of the slots on the board, I get *very* good
timestamping into Chrony.
