Next Cooking or RC - Few questions

[ Thread Index | Date Index | More lists.tuxfamily.org/slitaz Archives ]

Hi all,

So I'm ready for a new cooking with a lot of new stuff and fixes. The
main new and very cool thing is: TazPanel and TazWeb

We also had a bunch of fixes in the wok, tazpkg and tazwok: greate job
guys!

My questions before I write a annouce and release:

1. Do we go for RC series or just a Cooking ? Personnaly I think we
close to stable, so RC is appropriate.

2. We are at 31 Mb, not realy a problem since we could stay under 35 Mb
and still would be very fast and light. But we can save space, we
have 3 text editor in core: Leafpad, Nano and Beaver. Shoul we drop
one of them ? Leafpad ?

3. I'm quiet happy with TazWeb and use it as my main browser since it
do all what I need. But he it ready to be our default browser and
replave Midori ? TazWeb is 15 Kb package and Midori 256 Kb. And by
the way, if you missing something in TazWeb, please let me know and I
will try to include your request if it feet TazWeb philosophy: KISS

Thanks to have read until there, if you want to boot latest SliTaz
before official release:
