There's definitely something amiss here, it should read: 
media-sound/psychosynth-0.1.1-r1 instead of 0.1.1. Obviously, you have made an 
error somewhere, portage couldn't find the new ebuild. Are you sure that the 
settings concerning overlays in /etc/make.conf are correct?

In any case, I warmly suggest that you make your own overlay and put the 
psychosynth-0.1.1-r1.ebuild there instead of modifying the proaudio overlay. The 
changes you make would be lost the next time you sync the proaudio overlay.
