Thanks for the efforts, but as you predicted, it still fails to compile successfully, with more errors about Qt4 (I apologize I cannot be more specific, but I neglected to copy the error and I have since emerged MusE 
0.8.1a).

I have taken your advice and emerged the stable version.  I will wait a while before testing MusE from CVS again.

....but this is a bug in the ebuild, indeed. a hundret unneeded qt
variables.. o.O

fixed. checkout museseq-cvs-0.10

no guaranty it compiles to the end.. maybe you still need Qt4 to be
compiled with debug support.
