[hatari-devel] Feature idea: memory protection

Hi,

while reading an interesting article about the mind-blowing Eon demo on Amiga, I found one really interesting part: http://tbl.nu/2019/08/20/Tooling/#memory-protection.

In Atari terms, they basically created a trap-based memory protection framework where one would specify start address, end address and the type of access allowed. There are also other enhancements like m68k-controlled fast-forward mode/boot.

It wouldn't be the first time someone hacked Hatari with some trap-based debug abilities so I'm wondering what are the chances Hatari could get features like that in upstream? :)
