Attached patch changes it to an option to disable
& re-enable automatic GEMDOS HD program symbols
loading and freeing.
If you have time, could you give it a try?
tested your patch, eventually.
Thanks!
Although I could make it to work before using the described workaround, I personally consider your patch a real improvement when debugging TSR's.
I do not know how much work it would be to add (optional) "on"/"off" switching capability to it (as you might not be able to tell where you are coming from in more complicated scripting situations)?
Do you mean command having (optional) on/off
argument, instead of just toggling whatever
state it's current in?
For manual use toggling shouldn't be a problem,
as it tells user what happened, but I can see
that it would be useful in debugger scripts.
In scripts it's easier just being explicit than
trying somehow to track current state e.g.
through chained breakpoints.
If too much work, I can live with toggling (as it is right now) perfectly well, however.
I'll add the on/off argument and commit it,
as a small Xmas present for Hatari debugger
users. ;-)
