Re: [hatari-devel] New version of hatari unstable ?

Sorry for the spam ;)

It seems that it can boot from gemdos hard drive if I choose another directory, so maybe my "Falcon" newdesk.inf file is the problem, or maybe a file too long or with caracters that tos 2.06 doesn't like

It seems that hatari 2.06 doesn't boot correctly when my gemdos harddrive is set. If I uncheck it, it boots to desktop without error and no garbage pixels on screen.
The 2 floppy icons are here in this case.

But if I boot with the gemdos drive active, it doesn't go to the desktop.
Is it normal ?

Bus Error at address $ffff8e09, PC=$e02908 addr_e3=e0290c op_e3=4a38

then the memory test,

then
Bus Error at address $fff00039, PC=$e01666 addr_e3=e0166c op_e3=4a39
Bus Error at address $fff00039, PC=$e01666 addr_e3=e0166c op_e3=4a39

Then :

If I've got a floppy inserted, it boots from the floppy
If I don't, there's an alert window that appears whith tells me : "impossible to allow a window memory" and I can click on "confirm" Then, hatari goes to the desktop but there is a vertical line of pixels on the desktop.

If I come from atari falcon to atari STE, it doesn't even go to the desktop

I can send some screenshot if that can help.

That's strange, I've recompiled also for SDL 1.2, and I've got the same

I've removed the config files.

I can't start hatari in ste mode with Tos 2.06 (fr)

TOS 2.06 (several language versions) boots fine for me with latest
Hatari Mercurial version, at least when compiled with SDL 2.

Could you describe in exact steps what doesn't work?

    - Eero

I can start with tos 1.62

If I understood your description correctly then no, I don't have that

    Hi all,

Is it me or the current version of hatari has some problems ?

I'm usually booting in falcon mode.

When I try to change parameters in the gui to boot in ste 4Mo tos
french 2.06, it never goes to the desktop

Same with tos 1.62 or when I try to boot in ST mode

I've erased my hatari.cfg file by saving the configuration that
    doesn't boot.

It seems to boot correctly with tos 1.62 (STE, 4Mo,...) but not
    with TOS 2.06.

(I've compiled hatari with SDL 1)

    Is it me ?

    Laurent
