Re: [hatari-devel] Hatari keyboard mapping

On Mac, function keys 1...8 have two modes. See "preferences system / keyboard" -> "Use all F1, F2 etc keys as standard keys ........etc "
Keys 9 to 12 have modes more complicated with use of "alt" and/or "ctrl".
You can experiment result with  "Key Codes.app".  Perhaps this help you.

Bob, the doc-directory is of course included in the .dmg:s I create.

Thomas,

Thank you for the information. I agree that the Ctrl was not a good example. I was hoping to use the Mac Command key (corresponds to Windows key) with a function key for the Help and Undo keys. Unfortunately, unlike a PC keyboard, there are very few unused keys on a Mac keyboard.

I still hope to see the HTML manual updated because OS X users will rarely download the source code to even see the doc directory.

I have one other question. Using the SDL menu, I was trying to remove the Without modifier option for both Toggle fullscreen and Edit Settings. I could not find a way to tell Hatari that I did not want any key to represent these shortcuts. I only wanted to use the “With modifier” option. Most of my settings files are saved in the pre-2.0 format. They probably go back many versions of Hatari. Somehow, I did get the “Without modifier” setting to not have a key in one of the setting files and I simply saved that setting file with the new settings. I tried going directly to the .cfg files and removing the shortcut key, but that did not help.
