What emulation do you mean, the FPSP for 040 or 060? That emulates only the 
missing functions on these chips.

Or do you mean the softfloat support in general? That is not part of the 
kernel, but of glibc. And it does not emulate a particular FPU, but the higher 
level definitions of the posix math functions.
