Re: [hatari-devel] OSx problems

Cocoa Pod,

First of all, welcome to the Hatari devel-list! Your English is just fine. As an OS X user of Hatari, it is great to see a person who can code in Objective C. A number of the problems you have found have been corrected by Jerome Vernet. Unfortunately, those changes were never committed to the Hatari development tree. I have gotten used to the ..hatari directory since all of the core Hatari developers use Linux. I agree that an OS X user prefers ~/Library/Application Support/Hatari.

I am simply a user and I am not a developer. I know enough to compile Hatari using Xcode and create a version with EmuTOS and SDL built into the application bundle. That is the limit of my experience. If you did not know, you can use the command “cmake -G Xcode” to create an Xcode project. I have to tweak the project after it is created but it gives me a very good start.

I would be very interested in trying your work. As far as getting your work into the Hatari development tree, one of the developers should be able to tell you what you need to do. I know the new 1.8 devel version includes a few new floppy disk related options that are not in the OS X interface. If you look at the SDL menu (press F12) and select Floppy Disks, you will see new checkboxes for whether drive A and B are enabled and whether they are double-sided drives.

Jerome - It is nice to hear from you. Unfortunately, your changes are not in Mercurial. From what I have seen, you need to provide diff files with your changes. However, there seems to be a particular format that the developers need.
