I'm not sure it's a precision problem ; most likely a "calibration" 
difference where deltaX/Y as reported by SDL is not exactly mapped to 
what the IKBD normaly report (programs requiring mouse often work better 
when you use alt+m to lock the mouse)

Can you do a "grep" in the traces as Eero did for spectrum512 and post 
the result ?
