One more detail.

Since extended resolutions require hundreds of kB, care must be taken 
that the screen does not overwrite the ROM area.
For example, Hatari could refuse extended resolutions if they don't fit 
between the official ST-RAM and the ROM. Or it could silently reduce the 
official amount of ST-RAM (would be misleading).
