Re: [hatari-devel] Release 1.6.2 in mid May

Hi,

I've launched some programs here and there with the latest changes without noticing anything broken (in Falcon mode of course).
I can't say everything is safe, but at least, it seems to work well.

A bit of testing that the recent changes to WinUAE didn't break

I don't have time for this. Will somebody else check few things
to see that they still work with WinUAE?

Unfortunately, I can't test this myself, I barely use falcon mode, so I would be unable to say if some programs are working better, worse or similar to what it was before those recent changes.

Could some people used to Falcon try to run their favorite programs ?

If no one has time to do it, I will have to do the release anyway.

If I have time, I'd like to test the debugger symbol handling a bit
more and update the TOS tester tests a bit (check whether Vsync() in
tester helps in preventing screenshots to have half updated contents)..

Vsync() doesn't help.

I guess the issue is that fast forward use implies frameskip which can
skip several frames, including the one that I tried to Vsync.

This is non-issue without fast forward I guess, but then running
TOS tester would be really slow for a large number of TOS version
(especially ones supporting many machine types).

Not a blocking issue in that case, more an enhancement that could be postponed to the next release if it can't be changed soon.
