Maybe the use of st high resolution on a VGA monitor doesn't behave like
the use of ST high resolution on a B/W ST screen ?

OK, your questions made me dig a little deeper, so I tried different screen
types on Hatari (I was using the default screen which I think is RGB). After
repeating my tests in RGB, VGA, and TV mode, it now works as I expected on all
of them :-| (I set the different monitor types as defaults, and then restarted
Hatari just to be sure of a clean boot). (I couldn't get "Mono" mode to work
for some reason, so couldn't try that).
So it seems that I was wrong before, although I did try it several times. My
apologies for wasting your time - I will make sure I repeat my experiments on
two different days before I report any more bugs ...
