Can you describe this a bit more?

I also noticed such problem with FB driver. It looks like this: you
start the game, it switches screen mode, but everything is messed up on
the screen and we see garbage. After exiting from the game and starting
it again, everything is ok.

tested on gentoo linux, vesafb-tng, 1024x768@xxxxxxxxxx
