Hello Hein,
I guess the add-on would be the best approach...
About uLaw, it compresses WAV PCM format to a half...
and "only" loose the 2 least significant bits, and can
be digitally added directly... I used in my
application for space matters (my application has a 3
Mbytes flash for the recorded sounds).
Just let me know how this work must be done and I
would make it for sure.
