There is no /src/docs path. I suppose you meant /docs/build, but this is not 
correct any longer, because the build files are now processed by the makedoc 
machinery and must be written in ._tx format and placed in /docs/src/build.

I guess this is ok, provided that the extension still has less than 3 
characters. Other projects (e.g. GCC) have abandoned the 8+3 restriction 
for some time now.
