As I understand it, 120 is the Mute command, and 123 is the Stop command.
Since the only way to restore sound after either of them is with a new Note
On command, I can't see it being a problem.
Also, as Elias says either way it gets passed on to the raw midi driver, so
it doesn't really matter.
