I would like to test them before. And what's the difference between your

have not encountered a single problem so far with either SDK.

basically nothing. except a todo.txt file in include/src/.
the idea is that we ought to have patches against original microsoft
header files, so that it will be easier for someone in the future to
examine the patch and contribute a directx 9 sdk. besides... the patch
might become *neccessary*. microsoft is in their rights, if they want
to, to deny us to redistribute modified source code IIRC, read the SDK
license about redistribution. with a patch you will avoid any legal issues.
