Ok. And I confirm that your latest patch (xwin.c, rev 1.40) is not the
culprit. Moreover, without it, the test below gives me a bunch of X shutdown
errors, so I think we should keep it for the 4.0.1 release.

Indeed ! I let your little script run for 1 minute several times, and it
gave me from 1 to 6 errors. But I definitely haven't got any of them in
normal operation mode.
