See the problem I was seeing with this is that the modules idea 
breaks apart every sense of ABI compatability we have been striving 
for between DLLs and in that system every Allegro DLL is different 
(unless each module is a DLL, then how many DLLs will there be?  Will it
just be DLL-hell?).

I think we finally got ABI compatability with Allegro 4 right?  Does that
mean ming and MSVC can share DLLs now?
