That's of course not what he said, it should never be so that new
people don't get the documentation. 

I personally prefer a single download, but then I don't have to use
floppies. Perhaps we could simply add a section on the download page
where the allegro archive is split into floppy sized chunks. People
like Martijn who need it can then choose to download those, instead.
That shouldn't be too hard to put on the website. If the space
requirements become a problem (storing an archive for each new
version) I'm willing to provide an ftp site where these split archives
could be stored. Would be best if they were on the main site, though.
