i have now committed my rewrite of the assembler capabilities testing.
it has been tested under djgpp and mingw32.
the good thing with this rewrite is that:
- it separates out the testing from the build makefiles into makefile.tst
- it can be easily extended to cover more instruction set add-ons, not just
SSE and MMX.
- it should work with windows me's dos prompt.
- mmx.h is gone and replaced by asmcapa.h which lists all assembler
capabilities.
Bob, can you put in some #ifdef ALLEGRO_SSEs in your optimized assembler
blitting code now?
