I've looked at the BeBook, and yes, it seems that this is a flow of the OS.
As the docs say, the GetMouse() function of BView (what's currently used in
src/beos/bmousapi.cpp) retrieve the status of the mouse, i.e. its position
and the status of the three mouse buttons (only mouses with a wheel and up
to three buttons are supported). The Allegro code uses this, but it seems
the OS reports only the status of the last button pressed, and the others
are discarded. Can someone else confirm this?
