Hmm... NT isn't much of a gaming platform. It never has been, so why do we want
so eagerly to support it by maintaining backwards compatibility with a stoneage
version of DirectX? IMHO Directx 5 would be a fair minimum choice for Allegro.
DirectX 3 is quite old and i don't think there are many that still uses it. If
I've understood Microsoft correctly they will do the final merge (what they
tried with win2k) between win9x and NT in Windows.NET (whistler) and that
windows will for certain include directx 8 with force feedback support etc.
And yes, I'm very positive towards including a DirectInput driver...
