The cmsg problem should now be solved in the following kernel releases:
6.7, 6.6.11, 6.1.72, 5.15.147, 5.10.208 and 5.4.267.
It may take some time for the fix to trickle down to all embedded trees
but IMHO, Chrony should not need to add this workaround.
