Even with my vi file being just "refclock PPS /dev/pps2 refid NTPS poll 0 prefer" for the refclock, I get the
"2020-11-23T13:52:45Z refclock_pps.c:150:(pps_poll) PPS sample ignored seq=91133 ts=1606139562.000006448"
I tried my refclock also just being "refclock PPS /dev/pps2 refid NTPS prefer" to get the same result.
"2020-11-23T13:55:33Z refclock_pps.c:150:(pps_poll) PPS sample ignored seq=91161 ts=1606139732.000032552"

The width option reduces the maximum allowed error, as is described in the man page. What do you get when you drop the option?
