Yeah, make sure the uncorrected offset as reported by adjtime is not
getting lost or applied twice. Also, it might be interesting to try
shortening the update interval to 1 second. If the adjtime() syscall
is implemented as in Linux for instance (offsets below certain
threshold are spread over whole second instead of correcting them at
a fixed rate), it could make the frequency offset of the system clock
much smoother.
