OK, I got myself confused installing the libeditline package ( which is what
we call it in the docs) rather than the libedit package, and I am afraid that
users will have the same problem. It might be good to have a note to that
effect to prevent the confusion of others.

Chrony is set up ONLY to use the former. Perhaps if readline is being phased
out, one should use libeditline instead. It should at least test for that and
use it if available.

I've checked the srpms for the two packages
(libedit-3.0-0.20090722.1mdv2010.0, editline-1.12-13mdv2010.0) and it
seems that editline is actually much older, the files are dated 1997.
I'm not sure it's worth adding support for it.
