What about adding a dir "benchmark" in cvs :
and adding some replays and run them like this :

nicolas:xmoto$ xmoto -timedemo -benchmark -replay replay_9740.rpl

* 1481 frames rendered in 7 seconds
* Average framerate: 216.6 fps

to follow the improvements done ?
