Yes and slitaz kernel use it, it's why we dont need udev at boot anymore just for the hotplug events. Calling 'udevadm --trigger' after loading modules may not be necessary, it is just to be sure all dev are created (I may also missing something...).

That sais without any call to udev I boot in 5s! (-1,5 sec saved)
