Re: compiling kernel

thanks!!
i did compile the kernel with "CONFIG_X86_CMPXCHG=y" in the config file.
and installed that forced on the original kernel.
mesa/drm still doesn't recognize it...
still complains that "CONFIG_X86_CMPXCHG needs to be enabled in the kernel"
